Upon the publication of the Notice of Emergency Adoption and Proposed Rule Making in the New York State Register on September 26, 2012, written comments on the revised proposed amendment will be accepted for 30 days (comments must be received by October 26, 2012) and may be submitted to: New York State Education Department, P-12: Office of Accountability, 55 Hanson Place – Room 445, Brooklyn, NY 11217, Attention: Public Comment on Amended Sections Related to ESEA Waiver. 

Comments may also be faxed to 718-722-2215 or emailed to accountinfo@mail.nysed.gov. We request that written public comment regarding the proposed regulations be provided using the Public Comment Submission Sheet doc(38KB).

As a second emergency action adopted at the September 10-11, 2012 Regents meeting, the proposed amendment is effective September 11, 2012.  It is anticipated that the revised proposed amendment will be presented for adoption as a permanent rule at the November 5-6, 2012 Regents meeting.
