Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with disabilities:

Catapult Learning has experience working with students with disabilities and welcomes all students who are able to participate in and benefit from our small group instruction.  To the extent practicable, Catapult Learning will make accommodations to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with limited English proficiency:

Catapult Learning uses a variety of strategies when dealing with students with limited English proficiency. These strategies include but are not limited to: Instruction that bridges students’ prior knowledge to new learning; Scaffolded instruction to support student learning and independent application; Visual supports through the use of graphic organizers, math manipulatives, charts, and graphs; Explicit instruction in phonemic awareness and phonetics (AchieveReadingFlex); Direct and indirect vocabulary instruction, including introduction of key vocabulary before reading of text selection and introduction of key vocabulary during concept development portion of each math lesson; Oral directions translated into students’ native language, when possible, to facilitate comprehension of tasks; Materials provided to teachers regarding strategies for working with ELL students.
