Vacamas Programs for Youth will provide services all year round including a summer session.

Our winter services (October-June) will be conducted either during after-school hours, two days a week for 1.5 hours per day at enrolled students’ schools or our facilities in New York State and West Milford, NJ.

The summer session program will run from June 27th- July 27th, five days a week for 3 hours per day at our facilities in New York State and West Milford, NJ.

10. Type of instruction:

We expect to provide tutoring in groups of 5-10 in a school, center or community based setting as follows:
28 hours with certified teachers

31 hours with certified or licensed instructors, supervision as needed

42 hours with Qualified Instructors supervised by NYS certified teachers or NYC certified teachers

10a. Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with disabilities: -Instruction will be aligned with IEP goals or section 504 accommodation plans
-Several teachers with expertise in Special Education are on staff
-The program director is an experienced Special Education Supervisor and will provide regular workshops to develop appropriate strategies.
10b. Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with limited English proficiency:

-English as a Second Language (ESL) methodologies
-Supports in native language
-Consultation with specialized and qualified personnel

11. Qualifications of the service provider(s)/instructor(s): -New York State & New York City certified teachers and qualified instructors
-Specialists in ESL and Special Education methodologies
-Ongoing Staff Development on the above areas provided by the program director
12. Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA (Content, frequency, method of delivery):

-Written reports- 3x yearly indicating progress in reading an d math given by the teacher to the parent and mailed to the LEA.
-Pre and post-test scores as well as a review of materials covered will be reported to parents by the teacher.
