LEAs where service will be provided:

Students receive live, individualized instruction in the safety and convenience of their own homes. Students access the program via the Internet through a personal computer provided free of charge by Educate Online. Educate Online services may also be provided at the student’s school if the appropriate facilities (e.g. computer lab) are available.

3. Evidence that services have been effective: On average, students participating in 36 hours of Educate Online instruction consistently achieve an average grade level gain of 1.2 years in reading and 1.7 years in math.
4. Title of the instructional program, curriculum series to be used (if appropriate): Educate Online’s proprietary research based program uses individualized instruction and mastery learning techniques to improve students’ reading or math skills.
5. Grade level(s) the provider will serve: Educate Online will deliver English Language Arts (including Reading) or Math to students in grades K-12.
6. Content area(s) provider will serve: Educate Online will deliver tutoring in either English Language Arts (including Reading) or Math.
7. Number of sessions provided per week, if applicable: Parents choose their child’s schedule which generally includes 2-4, 60-minute sessions per week.
8. Average length of each service session (minutes/hours): Each instructional session is 60 minutes in length.
9. Duration of the available service period (e.g. September 1 – June 30; September 1 – August 31; weekends only; summer school only; specific number of weeks or hours, other, etc;):

Educate Online’s services are available throughout the year during various time slots: weekday afternoons and evenings Saturdays and Sundays.

Each student and her/his family arranges for instructional session times based on their own scheduling needs and preferences.

10. Type of instruction: Online, individualized, direct instruction

Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with disabilities: Educate Online has successfully delivered Supplemental Education Services to a wide range of student populations, including low-income, minority, limited English proficiency and special education students. Educate Online provides services to students with limited English proficiency and disabilities to the extent possible within our standard instructional approach.
10b. Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with limited English proficiency:

Educate Online has successfully delivered Supplemental Education Services to a wide range of student populations, including low-income, minority, limited English proficiency and special education students. Educate Online provides services to students with limited English proficiency and disabilities to the extent possible within our standard instructional approach.

11. Qualifications of the service provider(s)/instructor(s): All Educate Online instructors are certified teachers in their state of residence, have at least two years of teaching experience, and complete comprehensive training prior to program implementation. 
12. Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA (Content, frequency, method of delivery):

Parents can access their child’s online progress reports at any time during the program. Schools/Districts receive a Beginning of Program report and an End of Program report.

13. Will transportation to the service location be provided at no charge if requested? (Note: LEAs are not required to provide or pay for transportation) Because Educate Online is primarily delivered online to each student in the safety and convenience of her/his home, transportation is not required.
