More than 35 years of service to Community School 30 District families

Evidence that services have been effective:

District 30 schools have continuously made consistent progress toward the goal of meeting and exceeding New York State Performance Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Data shows that the percent of students in Level I has steadily declined, while the percent of students in Levels II, III and IV has increased. The percent of students passing the Regents examinations in our high schools has also increased. These results are due to the expectations that all students can approach, meet and exceed standards through the implementation of research-based curricula and pedagogical methods, on-site professional development, and data-driven instructional practices.

The EXCELLENCE EVERYDAY program will utilize small group instruction through a tutoring model and research-based practices and materials in order to address individual students’ needs.

2 sessions per week after-school or
1 session per week on Saturdays

90-minutes per session after-school or
180 minutes per session on Saturdays

October 2005 – May 2006 for a
total of 60 hours of tutoring services to be offered after school and Saturdays

Individual and small group  instruction not to exceed the teacher : student ratio of 1:12

All services will be provided by NYS certified and NYC licensed teachers.

Reports will be issued on a bi-monthly basis throughout each the term of the program using the “Progress Achievement Report”

We will provide consistency of instruction in a print-rich, familiar environment.  Classroom Inc. will be used.
