3. Evidence that services have been effective: 27 component school districts in Orange and Sullivan Counties contract with the Orange-Ulster BOCES for services.

Curriculum is based on student needs as determined by pretesting and posttesting.  Materials include print texts and workbooks as well as electronic resources, such as web links, Smartboard units and other instructional technology.

Minimum of once or twice weekly per content area, e.g., ELA or math.

11. Qualifications of the service provider(s)/instructor(s): New York State Certified teachers, content areas preferred. Includes Special Education and English as a Second Language, or as approved by the district, due to experience and background.

Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA (Content, frequency, method of delivery): Progress notes with goals, assessment results and attendance are mailed approximately every ten weeks to students' homes, Guidance Office and Building Principals. Reports may be requested in a language other than English.
13. Will transportation to the service location be provided at no charge if requested? (Note: LEAs are not required to provide or pay for transportation) Instruction takes place at the student's LEA. Transportation is provided by districts' after-school buses.
14. Additional relevant information: BOCES supports schools through teacher training and strategies for improving student achievement.
