Tutor training program and individualized tutoring program ensures students with special needs are linked with a tutor who has education and training that best matches their need.

Liaison will be made with the appropriate providers in the school district, as well as with ESL providers in the community.

Qualifications of the service provider(s)/instructor(s):

Education Director Katherine Verbeck, Ph.D. is a Professor Literacy at the College of Saint Rose and has a 20-year background in teaching elementary and middle school students.  Supervisors and tutor trainers are certified teachers.

Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA (Content, frequency, method of delivery):

Reports generated every eight weeks. Reports are mailed to the parents, teachers, and LEA as generated.

Will transportation to the service location be provided at no charge if requested? (Note: LEAs are not required to provide or pay for transportation)

Program is conducted at the school.
