Began September 2009. Many of our educational specialists have over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students.

Individually designed program consistent with New York State learning standards and utilizing Curriculum Associates instructional material:

  • Strategies to Achieve Reading Success (STARS)
  • Strategies to Achieve Math Success (STAMS)

One on one individualized tutoring instructional strategies that comply with students’ IEP.

Trained bilingual tutors available to meet needs of students with limited English proficiency.

Qualifications of the service provider(s)/instructor(s):

New York State certified teachers and experienced and trained tutors. All tutors and programs are under the supervision of New York State certified teachers.

Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA (Content, frequency, method of delivery):

Parents may receive feedback from the tutor at the end of each session. Progress Reports will be mailed (and emailed as requested) after completion of every ten session hours to parents, teachers and LEA. Preliminary assessments, learning plans and final summary reports will be discussed and mailed to parents, teachers and LEA at the beginning, middle and end of the program. Parent-teacher-tutor conferences will be conducted on a quarterly basis to discuss academic progress.

Will transportation to the service location be provided at no charge if requested? (Note: LEAs are not required to provide or pay for transportation)

Transportation will not be provided.
