Direct service provided through the use of a computer base reading & comprehension program.

Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with disabilities:

Through Technology, scaffolding and teaching solutions the program is specifically designed to promote vocabulary, word recognition, fluency, and reading comprehension.

Description of methods and strategies for serving eligible students with limited English proficiency:

Failure Free Reading's talking software is designed to "fast track the acquistion of English" by controlling for variables most difficult for English as a second language learners namely: sentence structure, story content and repetition.

Qualifications of the service provider(s)/instructor(s):

Instruction service providers will be under the direct suspension of a NYS certificate teacher. Additional personnel that will deliver direct SES services to students will be a NYS certified teacher or a NYS certified Teacher Assistant.

Reports to parents, teachers, and LEA (Content, frequency, method of delivery):

Monthly reports to monitor the student's academic progress will be administered to parents, teachers and appropriate school official on a continuous basis. The computer software will generate these reports to maintain accurate scores.

Will transportation to the service location be provided at no charge if requested? (Note: LEAs are not required to provide or pay for transportation)
