Supplemental Educational Services

Supplemental educational services (SES) two children on computerare defined in the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Under NCLB, local school districts are responsible for notifying parents of students in some schools receiving Title I funds that their children are eligible for supplemental educational services (including tutoring) from a provider on the Department ’s list of approved providers.

According to the Differentiated Accountability Pilot, all Title I schools identified for improvement (Improvement, Corrective Action or Restructuring phase) must offer students supplemental educational services.
