Parental Involvement - NYS Education Department website on Parental Involvement. Information on this website was designed to assist local educational agencies, schools and parents in meeting the requirements of the parental involvement provisions under Title I, Part A.
Supplemental Educational Services - Under NCLB, local school districts are responsible for notifying parents of students in some schools receiving Title I funds that their children are eligible for supplemental educational services (including tutoring) from a provider on the Department’s list of approved providers.
Public School Choice - If a school does not make adequate yearly progress two years in a row, in the same subject and grade, the school is identified as in need of improvement. Schools must tell parents how they plan to improve the school and how parents can work with the principal and the teachers to help the school improve.
Just the Facts - These Fact sheets were created as a resource for parents regarding the No Child Left Behind Act.
