Congratulations: 2012 Essential Elements - Schools-to-Watch

The New York State Department of Education in partnership with the New York State Middle School Association, the Statewide Network of Middle Level Liaisons and the New York State United Teachers announces the 7th cohort of exemplary schools serving middle grades students.  The Essential Elements Schools to Watch program is a state administered national program that seeks to identify middle grades schools who adhere to a rigorous set of criteria and are on a pathway of continuous improvement.  New York is proud to designate seven new schools for the first time in 2012 along with three that are earning a designation for the 2nd time and seven who are being recognized for a third time.
