December 31, 2009 marks the end of the CTERC contract

A Career and Technical Education Resource Center (CTERC) has operated since January 1, 2005 under a contract between the New York State Education Department and Questar III BOCES.  Under this contract the CTERC was required to work with high-need school districts in developing strategies to increase student performance in English Language Arts and Mathematics through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. The CTERC also delivered regional meetings intended to provide the CTE field with professional development opportunities. Additional services were provided as the capacity of the CTERC allowed.  A request for proposals that will address current CTE needs will be issued in the near future.

If you or your school district had been in communication with the CTERC staff regarding CTE programming, please call the CTE Team at 518-486-1547 so that we may continue the assistance previously provided by the CTERC.

You may send questions directly to the CTE Team mailbox at: emsccte@nysed.gov .
