Group E-mail List Policy

General

  • By subscribing to a group e-mail list, you agree to abide by these rules and to be considerate of other members when posting e-mails to the lists.
  • Violations can and will result in removal from the lists.
  • Keep in mind that these lists are presented as opportunities for networking and are intended for teachers, administrators, and members of the CTE community to pose questions on best practices, resources, regional news, etc.

Remember to:

  • Send e-mails which are of broad interest to the whole group. Share your expertise on issues that might seem familiar to you…there are many new teachers and administrators in the field who may benefit.
  • Contact SED career and technical education associates directly if you need timely response.
  • Send personal mail directly and only to the person concerned.
  • Be mindful of the volume of e-mails posted to the lists.
  • Send any messages of complaint about another group subscriber directly to that person or to the list owner(s).
  • Be mindful of the content and appropriateness of your e-mails.

Remember not to:

  • Use the lists for personal communication. For example, don’t send congratulatory/welcome messages to the whole group.
  • Send short replies to the whole list just to say that you agree.
  • Rely on these lists if you need urgent assistance requiring immediate attention.
  • Send e-mails that are offensive to individuals, organizations, or institutions.
  • Send e-mails that include any political statements.
