Home Health Aide

Adult and Secondary Home Health Aide Training Programs (HHATPs) preparing students to become Home Health Aides (HHAs) in New York State must be approved for operation by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). A HHATP conducted by an educational facility, which is regulated by NYSED, must meet training and competency evaluation requirements established by NYSED. Such requirements are consistent with the standards set forth by the NYSDOH.
