FIRST Challenge Robotics Program
Teachers from 12 St. Lawrence County School Districts participated in an intense two week work-shop centered around robotics design challenges used to teach various STEM concepts through a hands-on approach. The final design challenge was the basis for a middle level robotics competition called First Tech Challenge (FTC). These 12 teachers turn-keyed their experiences into their own classrooms, which culminated in the FTC competition held at Clarkson University on November 30, 2007. The competition involved over 150 seventh through ninth grade students broken down into robotic teams.
