In 2007, 555 educational agencies throughout New York offered occupational education programs enrolling about 390,000 secondary and postsecondary students. Of that number, 157,723 secondary students were either disabled or disadvantaged or both. More than 26 percent of the State's grade 9-12 public school enrollment were enrolled in occupational education programs.
