2008-09 SIRS Code Changes
Changes to Demographic Codes (Student Template) for 2008-09
One old "Credential Type Description" has been dropped:
Code 102. Local Certificate. This was not allowed after January 31, 2005.
One set of demographic codes has been "not modified" as follows:
No Race/Ethnicity codes will change for 2008-09. (In the 2007-08 School Year documentation, some race/ethnicity changes were proposed for 2008-09.)
Changes to Enrollment Codes for 2008-09
One new "Reasons for Ending Enrollment Code" has been added in the "Other Circumstance for Ending Enrollment" group:
Code 8305. End CSE Responsibility only. This code is used to end an enrollment record begun under reason for beginning enrollment code 5905-“CSE Responsibility Only” if there is no other reason for ending the enrollment record.

One recent "Reasons for Beginning Enrollment Code has been has been "not modified as follows:
Code 8294. School-age children on the roster for census purposes only. Code 8294 will continue to be optional. (In the 2007-08 School Year documentation, this was noted as mandatory for 2008-09.)

One new measure code has been added in the Test Group: RCT Alternatives.
