In 2008, 580 educational agencies throughout New York offered occupational education programs enrolling about 387,000 secondary and postsecondary students. Of that number, 150,551 secondary students were either disabled or disadvantaged or both. More than 25 percent of the State's grade 9-12 public school enrollment were enrolled in occupational education programs.
