Should the voters fail to approve a district's budget, it may be presented to the voters for one revote. The advertisement must appear twice; the first advertisement appearing 14 days before the vote (Ed. Law 2007). The advertisement should include information regarding:
- Absentee ballots (Ed. Law §2018a, §2018b, §2613)
- Public hearing (Ed. Law §2022)
- Budget availability 14 days before the vote (Ed. Law §1608, 1716)
- Registration not more than 7 or less than 2 days before the vote (Ed. Law §2007)
Budget notice may be mailed to all qualified voters of the school district the day after the budget hearing but no later than 6 days before the vote (Ed. Law §2022).
