Program Information Report

The Program Information Report form will no longer be used to collect data from LEAs.  Please note that the data are still required, however, NYSED’s Office of Information and Reporting Services (I&RS) is assuming the data collection responsibilities effective for the 2009-10 school year.  All the data will now be reported either through the SIRS system or through the BEDS process.

Also note that the I&RS office is responsible ONLY for collecting the data.  Any questions regarding how to count, definitions of categories, etc. should still be referred to the Title I office (, and with the exception of technical issues regarding data collection, we will be resolving any data problems that might occur.

We will be working closely with the I&RS office on developing a detailed Instruction Sheet that will hopefully answer most of the questions that the field may have.  In the meantime, we invite LEA personnel to address questions to the above E-mail address which will help in the development of the Instruction Sheet.  Also, LEA personnel should review both the SIRS and BEDS systems to assess if those systems are providing a comprehensive picture of AIS activity (both Title I-funded and locally supported) and report any shortcomings, omissions, etc. to our office, as well as suggestions to make the process run more smoothly.  Only by hearing from the end users will we be able to build a valid and reliable system.  We appreciate your patience as we move towards meeting this admirable but difficult objective.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.  If you have any comments, suggestions, questions, etc., please feel free to contact us at .
