Any Title I school converting a targeted assistance program into a schoolwide program should notify the State Education Department of the change in advance so that staff can provide technical assistance.
Also, Section 1114 of the No Child Left Behind Act requires schoolwide program-eligible schools to develop a plan for operating the program. The plan has to be developed with the involvement of parents, teachers, principals, administrators, other staff and students (for high schools).
If your school is considering changing from a targeted assistance program to a schoolwide program, please complete and submit the Title I Schoolwide Program Notification Form to inform the Department and to list the members of the planning committee.
