  • Title I School Status Change - We have received many calls from Local Education Agencies (LEAs) that wish to change a Non-Title I school to Title I, or a Title I school to Non-Title I as part of their 2011-12 Consolidated Application.  Below are the two requirements for either type of change.   PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for reporting Title I status for School Report Cards has passed, so none of these updates can be included in this year’s report cards.  This information can only be used to review grants and monitor NCLB compliance for the 2011-12 school year.  The deadline for Title I school status changes to establish eligibility for Title I School Improvement grants is October 31, 2011 unless there is a late accountability determination for a specific school. • The Title I Comparability Report Form is required to be submitted on-line by November 30, 2011.  Actual student and staff numbers in fall 2011 must be used in the calculations.  LEAs with 2011-12 enrollments greater than 1,000 students and that have any single grade level in more than one building must be sure to complete the full form.

  • The Consultation/Collaboration Form for 2011-12 (included in the Consolidated Application) is required to show evidence of mandatory consultation/collaboration in the development of the Consolidated Application Update and Title I Application Supplement.

  • The Private School Participation Form for 2011-12 (included in the Consolidated Application) is required for each private school within the geographic boundaries of the LEA.  Only Charter School LEAs are exempt from the requirement to consult with private school officials.  As in the past, LEAs must engage private school administrators in all private schools within the geographic boundaries of the LEAs in timely and meaningful consultation regarding the provision of educational services and other benefits that address the needs of eligible children.
