Calendar Reminders

This monthly checklist contains a minimal outline for the administrator:

September

  • SED Provides Online Access to Needed Forms and/or Materials:

    • Basic Educational Data System (BEDS) form
    • Fire Inspection Report Form
    • SA-185 (sent only to a new school and filed only once, this form establishes eligibility to receive payment for mandated services).
    • Preliminary Competency Tests and materials; and a second mailing containing test report forms and administration information.

October

Public school district notifies school of Chapter 2 allocation

  • SED Provides Online Access to Needed Forms and/or Materials:

    • Comprehesnive Assessment Report (CAR)
    • Regents examination and Regents Competency Test (RCT) ordering procedures for January administration

  • School Sends to SED:

    • BEDS Form
    • SA-185 (if applicable)

December

  • School Sends to SED:

    • Fire Inspection Report (Due by December 16)

January

  • SED Administers:

    • Regents Examinations
    • Regents Competency Tests

  • School Sends to SED:

    • Appropriate test reports

February

  • SED Provides Online Access to Needed Forms and/or Materials:

    • Pupil Evaluation Program (PEP) and Program Evaluation Test (PET) order form

  • School Sends to SED:

    • PEP and PET orders

March

School alerts parents and/or submits transportation requests to school district before April 1 deadline.

  • SED Provides Online Access to Needed Forms and/or Materials:

    • Regents Examination and Regents Competency Test (RCT) order forms
    • PEP and PET material and report forms

April

Administrator prepares textbook requests for coming year and submits them to parents or district.

  • School Sends to SED:

    • Regents Examination and RCT orders

May

Administrator prepares and submits to district requests for computer software a nd library materials.

  • SED Provides Online Access to Needed Forms and/or Materials:

    • Preliminary Competency Test (PCT) ordering, shipping, and administration information

  • School Administers:

    • PEP and PET Tests

June

  • SED Provides Online Access to Needed Forms and/or Materials:

    • High School Graduation Report form

  • School Sends to SED:

    • High School Graduation Report

  • School Administers:

    • Regents Examinations
    • Regents Cmopetency Tests
    • Appropraite (PEP, PET, Regents and RCT) test reports
