Requesting Funds – Submitting FS-25 Forms

Once a charter school receives its initial payment equal to 20 percent of its approved first year budget, it may submit an FS-25 to be reimbursed for any expenditures that exceed the first payment as well as for anticipated expenditures during the next month.  (For anticipated expenditures, see a Grants Finance policy advisory.)

The Grants Finance website houses the FS-25 templates. Instructions on the form state that one copy is mailed with original signature directly to Grants Finance, Room 510W EB, Albany, NY 12234 for processing. The website also offers fiscal guidelines for submitting FS-25s and the NYSED policy for submitting FS-25s.

It is important to adhere to the guidelines and policy and to maintain accurate, organized, up to date records so that Grants Finance can help resolve questions or concerns without issue.
