Data that are in the Level 2 warehouse as certified by school districts on November 3, 2010 will be final and used in all State aggregations and in Local Education Agency reports. The end of the year snapshot data on preschool children with disabilities provides information regarding the total number of preschool children with disabilities who received preschool special education services and the type of service they received at any time during the school year. The preschool outcomes data, which is collected from a sample group of school districts that are assigned to report on Indicator #7 provides information regarding the amount of progress preschool children with disabilities make in three early childhood outcome areas between first entering preschool special education and leaving preschool special education. The Special Education Events data are used to measure compliance of a sample group of school districts on special education indicators 11 and 12 (timely evaluation of preschool and school age students for special education eligibility determination and timely implementation of IEP of children transitioning from the Early Intervention program to preschool special education). Special Education Events data are also collected from all school districts regarding the evaluation of and services to parentally placed students in nonpublic schools.
