The New York State Education Department, P-12: Office of Special Education is pleased to announce the third strand in a series of free webinars to be offered by the New York State Response to Intervention Technical Assistance Center (NYS RtI-TAC) on topics related to the development and implementation of RtI frameworks in schools across the State.  These webinars are being offered as part of the new RtI Personnel Development Project.  Additional webinars will be presented throughout 2014.  All webinars will be archived on the NYS RtI-TAC website (www.nysrti.orgexternal link) for future review.

Strand 3: Using Your RtI Model to Differentiate and Support the
English Language Arts (ELA) Common Core Learning Standards
Description: This webinar series is designed to help school personnel understand how systems of RtI can support the teaching and learning of Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS) in literacy.  The webinars will present practical approaches for creating a seamless integration of RtI and CCLS.  Attention will be devoted to helping classroom teachers and reading specialists work collaboratively to meet the needs of children who require something extra in order to achieve the expectations established by the CCLS for ELA.
Intended Audience: Using Your RtI Model to Differentiate and Support the ELA CCLS  is intended for school personnel who are directly responsible for implementing and/or supporting core instruction and supplementary intervention within an RtI model.
