Slide 10: What is Meeting Notice?

In order to inform parents that it has scheduled a CPSE, CSE or Subcommittee meeting, and what that meeting is about, the district must send parents a written notice of the upcoming meeting.

A written meeting notice is required as one of the actions a school district must take to ensure that one or both of the student’s parents are present at each Committee meeting or are afforded the opportunity to participate.
