The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Annual School District Determinations

The United States Department of Education requires the State to annually report to the public on each school district's performance and/or compliance on 14 indicator areas relating to three priority areas: Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), Placement in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and Disproportionality by Race/Ethnicity. In addition, the State must notify each school district of its determination as to whether the district's performance measured against the targets established in the State Performance Plan meets requirements, needs assistance, needs intervention or needs substantial intervention.
