NCLB Title V, Part A - Innovative Programs
Allocations for Title V, Part A funding ended after SY 2007-08, with carryover funding allowed during 2008-09.
Note that the Title V-A program statute and the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) still require that LEAs maintain title to, and administrative control over, any materials and equipment acquired with program funds for the purpose of providing Title V-A services to non-public school students. Two options have been identified that LEAs may utilize concerning these items now that Title V-A is no longer funded, see Requirements for maintenance/control of materials and equipment provided to non-public schools .Although there are no current allocations for Title V, Part A, recipients of ESEA/NCLB Title VI Part B (REAP) may continue to use Title VI, Part B/REAP funds, to the extent allowed by statute, for the purposes of Title V, Part A, per NCLB Section 5131 .
