New York-The State of Learning (Chapter 655 Report):an annual report to the Governor and the Legislature on the educational status of the State's schools. The current edition was submitted in June 2001. The report discusses school demographics, enrollment patterns, school finance and resources, characteristics of school personnel, student performance, high school completion, and trends in postsecondary enrollment. Data are provided for the State, for groups of similiar districts, and for individual districts. The report is published in two volume: Statewide Profile of the Educational System and Statistical Profiles of Public School Districts. (Cost $12.50)
