Into the Future

• Despite the fact that graduation rates are still too low –

• Many students, and especially Black and Hispanic students, are improving.
  Gradually, more are graduating. More are staying in school.

• New Grade 3-8 English and Math tests this year also show more students achieving the Learning Standards – especially in middle school and especially Black and Hispanic students.

• This should improve graduation rates going forward.
