Partial-Year Contracts
Section 305 (14) (a) of Education Law authorizes a board of education to award partial-year contracts, which begin part way through the school year and cost $20,000 or less. Partial-year contracts may be awarded without competitive bidding; however, partial-year contracts must also be bid when two or more such contracts are anticipated, which in the aggregate exceeds $20,000.
