Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Sections 611 and 619 and Federal Funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2010
Additional Federal Allocations to Designated Local Educational Agencies for the 2010-2011 Program Year
A notice of additional allocation was sent to each Local Education Agency (LEA) designated to receive school year 2010-2011, IDEA, Section 611 (a.k.a. P.L. 94-142) and Section 619 (a.k.a. P.L. 99-457) and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) federal funds attributable to students with disabilities placed by the courts or other State agencies, and provided educational services pursuant to Article 81 of the Education Law. Copies of the notices of additional allocations were also sent to the approved special education programs that serve students placed pursuant to Article 81.
Each LEA should have received a SEDCAR-2 form from each Article 81 school that designated the LEA to receive additional allocations. The designated LEAs must suballocate the additional allocation, identified below, to each Article 81 school.
