Regents: Raising Standards, with Extra Help to Achieve Them

• The Regents approved new, higher math standards in March 2005.

• A grade-by-grade core curriculum based on those standards went to the schools for the beginning of the 2005-06 school year.

• Since then, schools have worked very hard to master this more demanding curriculum.
