Adjustment to CAP Payments for 2010-11 School Year
NOTICE TO NONPUBLIC SCHOOLS

Prior to the submission of 2010-11 CAP claims it was estimated by the Department that CAP claims would exceed the available funding of $33,220,000. In an effort to provide an equitable amount to all schools that may have applied, claims were reimbursed at 77.25%.
As the Department is no longer accepting CAP claims for the 2010-11 school year, the total value of payments made leaves $2.3 million in unspent funds. A payment adjustment will be made to all schools that received CAP reimbursement for the 2010-11 school year in the amount of 5.75% of their CAP claim total.
The MSA online system will be used to calculate the payment adjustment. Schools will receive a notice upon invoicing that there has been an adjustment made to their 2010-11 CAP payment. Schools should expect to receive the adjustment payment within two weeks of receiving the notice.
