Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Sections 611 and 619
Article 81 School Allotments for the 2017-2018 Program Year
A notice of additional allotment was sent to each Local Education Agency (LEA) designated to receive school year 2017-2018, IDEA, Section 611 and Section 619 federal funds attributable to students with disabilities placed by the courts or other State agencies, and provided educational services pursuant to Article 81 of the Education Law. Copies of the notices of allotment were also sent to the approved special education programs that serve students placed pursuant to Article 81.
Each LEA should have received a SEDCAR-2 form from each Article 81 school that designated the LEA that will be responsible for the allotment. The designated LEAs must provide an amount equal to the additional allocation, identified below, to each Article 81 school. The allocation may be through State, local or federal funds. If a LEA uses federal funds, the amounts must be allocated to section 611 or 619 funds as indicated on the chart below.
