We have created a printer friendly version of all of our forms and their due dates for the 2012-13 school year. This can be found in multiple places on the data reporting page such as the: Data Submission Schedules section, in the references section and there is a link to this on the PD Message Board.

The 2012-13 PD6 is in the PD Data System
The 2012-13 PD6 is now available in the PD Data System. This report collects full-time equivalent (FTE) data on or about October 3, 2012, regarding special education personnel who are employed or contracted to provide special education and related services to preschool and school-age students with disabilities. This report is due February 1, 2013.

This will be the last refresh for VR10 and VR16. Due to the delay, the certification due date for the VR10 and VR16 will be 24 hours after the VR10 and VR16 are refreshed.

Continued Delays with the VR16
We are continuing to work on resolving issues that are delaying the availabilty of the VR16. There are no issues relating to data in Level 2 and districts and RICs do not need to take any action to address these issues. Our best estimate is that the VR16 will become available later this week.

Problems with PD8 FTP
SED has received FTP submissions of PD 8 data; however, the loading of the PD 8 data has been delayed and SED confirmation e-mails for FTP submissions of PD 8 data will be sent once the data has been loaded. Confirmation e-mails from vendors to districts are not affected by this delay.

Regulatory Change to Preschool Referral Time Lines
The Board of Regents has approved a regulatory change to preschool referral time lines that will go into effect April 11, 2012. Current regulations stipulate that preschool referrals must be made within 30 school days of the date of receiving parental consent to evaluate. The regulation has been revised to change the 30 school days to 60 calendar days, aligning it with the referral time line for school age children. District data submitted for VR 11 with a date of consent (Event 2) on or after April 11 will automatically fall under the new preschool referral time line. District data submitted with a date of consent (Event 2) after February 10, 2012 and a date of meeting (Event 3) on or after April 11 will also fall under the new preschool referral time line. The VR 11 will automatically allow referrals that are eligible for and comply with the 60 calendar day time line to be counted as timely, even if the districts reported a number of days late based on the 30 school day time line.
