It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Paul Overbaugh as the new New York State Director of Pupil Transportation.  This appointment is in recognition of Paul’s vast experience in the field of pupil transportation safety.

Paul began his career as a school bus driver in Saugerties, then a dispatcher in Selkirk, a transportation supervisor in Greenville, then worked his way up to curriculum development for the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute (PTSI). His career continued within the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) as a Highway Safety Representative and most recently a Child Passenger Safety Statewide Coordinator.  In addition to these achievements, Paul is a certified New York State School Bus Driver Instructor (SBDI), Master Instructor (MI), a certified Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Technician, Instructor and Lead Instructor, and he sits on the SBDI/MI Advisory Committee.  We welcome Paul and look forward to working with him to further the New York State Education Department mission of safe and efficient pupil transportation.
