Ed Management Services

The Office of Educational Management Services concerns itself with the management of New York State school districts and BOCES and their use of education resources.  Specific areas of responsibility include business management, pupil transportation, cooperative service agreements between school districts and BOCES, school district organization and reorganization, Contracts for Excellence, cost-effectiveness, Regents State Aid proposal development, and collaborative research with the Education Finance Research Consortium.   The office provides support for legislative and regulatory initiatives, such as streamlining school district and BOCES planning and reporting.
