Data Collection for 2013-14 School Year Incidents
Beginning this year (2014), data collected under the Dignity For All Students Act has been expanded to include information regarding material incidents of cyberbullying. More information on the reporting requirements of the Dignity For All Students Act can be found here.
Data Collection Period: SSEC incident data may be submitted to the Department via the SED Online Portal beginning August 18, 2014. Data submissions must be completed by September 26, 2014.
Important Note on EARLY REPORTING: Schools that have been directed to do so by the Department must submit an early summary of the violent and disruptive (VADIR) incidents that took place in their schools between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014. This report must be submitted to the Department using the printable form found here ( 523KB). The completed submission must be received by the Department no later than July 8, 2014.
Data Collection Process: Data should be submitted to the Department using the the NYSED Application Business Portal. Directions on how to log-on to the Business portal and access the BEDS/IMF/School Safety data-entry application can be found here.
